Raw Thought, a documentary theatre play about the life, death, and work of Aaron Swartz
Raw Thought (formerly called Building A Real Boy) is a multimedia theatrical telling of the life and work of computer activist Aaron Swartz who died tragically at the age of 26 while facing forty years in prison for downloading academic journals to share with the public. In addition to focusing on the life and loss of this incredible activist, Raw Thought sheds light on the critical issues surrounding freedom of information and privacy on the internet. This show is devised from Aaron Swartz’s writing, blog and journal entries, interviews with colleagues, friends, and family and court transcripts. Raw Thought has been created collaboratively by a team of performers, directors, writers, and designers.
